  12. I've got a problem w/ my new Sportster 33600:

  14. 1) After first booting Win95 (with my modem already powered on), the first 
  15. time I start my Dial Up Networking session, all works fine (modem dials my ISP 
  16. and connects).

  18. 2) If I hang up, and power cycle my modem, when I try to restart my ISP 
  19. connection, I get the following message "The computer is not receiving a 
  20. response from the modem.  Check that the modem is plugged in, and if 
  21. necessary, turn the modem off, and then turn it back on."

  23. 3)  If I simply click "ok" in this error dialog, then redial, it finds the 
  24. modem and dials w/ no problems.

  26. Basically, Win95 D-U-N never communicates w/ the modem after a power cycle of 
  27. the modem.  Buy on retry, it works fine.

  29. Any ideas?  I'm using the default setup for the modem as defined in the .inf 
  30. file from the USR ftp site for 28800 external sportster.
