- I've got a problem w/ my new Sportster 33600:
-
- 1) After first booting Win95 (with my modem already powered on), the first
- time I start my Dial Up Networking session, all works fine (modem dials my ISP
- and connects).
-
- 2) If I hang up, and power cycle my modem, when I try to restart my ISP
- connection, I get the following message "The computer is not receiving a
- response from the modem. Check that the modem is plugged in, and if
- necessary, turn the modem off, and then turn it back on."
-
- 3) If I simply click "ok" in this error dialog, then redial, it finds the
- modem and dials w/ no problems.
-
- Basically, Win95 D-U-N never communicates w/ the modem after a power cycle of
- the modem. Buy on retry, it works fine.
-
- Any ideas? I'm using the default setup for the modem as defined in the .inf
- file from the USR ftp site for 28800 external sportster.
-
- Thanks for any help you can provide.
